We have owned a 19″ Silver Class Saffire Grill for five years now and absolutely love it; so, I thought my first product review post should be a Saffire Grill review. More and more Kamado grills are entering the market as people are discovering the huge cooking advantages of Kamado grills, but Saffire is my favorite for several reasons. The Saffire Grill has more dome space providing more area for food, features the patented Smokin’ Chip Feeder Port allowing you to add wood chips easily throughout the cook, is constructed with high quality 304 stainless steel hardware making it rust resistant, and has a lifetime warranty on ceramics and hardware. I also think aesthetically the Saffire looks the best. I like that there are three colors to choose from (black, red, and Saffire blue,) and that there are several different ways to build your grill.
Our Saffire came with bamboo side shelves and a bamboo handle, however we now have upgraded to a stainless steel handle and side shelves (per my husband’s request.) I love the look, shape, and feel of the new stainless steel handle, and appreciate the durability of the new stainless steel side shelves, but I must admit, I have not switched out the side shelves yet and don’t really see the need to as they are in great condition.
One of my favorite features of the Saffire Grill is the Smokin’ Chip Feeder Port. This allows you to easily add wood chips throughout your smoke and eliminates the need for soaking wood chips in a a pan and preparing it in advance.
