This homemade hamburger recipe for your Kamado grill is easy to make and sooooo good. I can’t really take the credit for this recipe though, because it is a modified version of a recipe I found awhile back on a blog called Happy Money Saver. Take a few minutes to check out Happy Money Saver as you’re grilling these burgers. I did ever so slightly change the original recipe, so keep reading for my version as well as how to grill these on your Kamado grill.
The seasoning ingredients are probably ones you have on hand in your pantry or spice cabinet. Measure out your seasonings and whisk them together in a small mixing bowl.
Place ground beef in a large mixing bowl and mix. Mix about three-fourths of the seasoning in with your meat and begin to form patties. Keep the remaining bit of seasoning close because you will use it to sprinkle on top of patties. I’m not the best hamburger patty maker, in fact, I should go back and re-read Happy Money Saver’s tips… I like my burgers on the big side, so I formed 8 patties in total.
You will grill these over direct heat at 450°F for 7-10 minutes per side, depending how well done you like them. Once grill is to temperature, place your patties on your Kamado. I have a Saffire Grill and LOVE it. What kind of Kamado grill do you use?
I ended up grilling these burgers for 8 minutes per side and they turned out perfect! I use a meat thermometer to quick check the temperature of the patties before taking them off the grill. Normally I aim for medium.
Now time to eat these delicious burgers! Look at those beautiful grill marks!
I do the standard toppings: lettuce, onion, tomato, mayo, mustard, ketchup… I just didn’t have pickles on hand, or rather, I forgot them at the store. I also normally add cheese to make it a cheeseburger! This time I put on some American cheese. These burgers not only look delicious, they taste delicious too! But don’t take my word for it, try it out for yourself and tell me what you think!!
