Enjoy eating your veggies again by grilling these bacon-wrapped asparagus bundles!
This bacon-wrapped asparagus recipe is the perfect side-dish to serve when hosting! Make it on your grill along with your meat and save yourself the hassle of kitchen clean-up. It’s an easy recipe that looks impressive and tastes delicious. I also should add that I’m not one to eat lots of veggies. Since having kids, I’m trying to get better at eating vegetables so as to “model” that eating habit for my children. I think adding bacon to asparagus is brilliant because let’s be honest, everything tastes better with bacon. For this recipe, you need a bundle of asparagus, about 8 pieces of thick-cut bacon, olive oil, and pepper. First, wash and trim your asparagus.
Next, take 3-5 asparagus spears and starting at the bottom of the bundle, wrap with bacon. I set mine in a foil pan that I used when grilling them.
After making the asparagus bundles, drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with black pepper.
Grill in foil pan at 400°F for 20 minutes, flipping at 10 minutes. If you’re grilling something else and have a secondary cooking grid, you can pop them on top while grilling your other things.
